Pandemic Depression and Seasonal Depression: Make A Plan.
What can you do when pandemic depression meets seasonal depression? I recently read this Washington Post article, which has some terrific suggestions to help manage your mood as you respond to the pandemic during these shorter, colder days. Tips that I discuss with clients include: being mindful of the warning signs that your mood is slipping into depression, considering using a lightbox or SAD lamp, staying connected with people through technology, consistently using various mindfulness, emotional regulation and self care strategies to even out your mood. And, look into therapy for more support
